In tropical Sri Lanka, our nutmeg grows in biodiverse agroforestry systems around our spice manufactory. Small farms cultivate it among trees and other crops.
Its aroma is complex and clear: delicate sweetness meets notes of pepper, cinnamon, and cloves. Just a small amount is enough to add depth to dishes.
For creamy mashed potatoes and sauces. For curries and stews. As well as for baked goods and desserts.
Harvested by hand and gently processed, each nutmeg preserves the characteristic aroma of its origin.
