Cloves from Sri Lanka – whole Ceylon cloves
Our cloves from Sri Lanka grow wild in the mountainous regions around Kandy and are hand-harvested when they are large, fully ripe, and bursting with flavor. They come from our partner Nihal and the spice manufacturer in Wepatha, Digana. There, the cloves are carefully sorted and gently dried to a moisture content of 9–11%.
The result: exceptionally aromatic cloves – intensely spicy, with fine citrus notes, a pleasant peppery heat, and unmistakable depth.
